Brief Bio: I studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Basque Country (UPV-EHU) at the Engineering School of Bilbao where I specialized in Environmental field. My bachelor thesis project was carried out at the Institute of Chemical Technology of Prague, in a research project that Environmental Department performed with the EPS Ltd. Kunovice Company Laboratory for the Remediation of Contaminated Soil and Groundwater by In-situ Chemical Oxidation with Permanganate. I received my Bachelor degree in September of 2011. In October of 2011 I started a Master in Nanotechnology and Material Science organized by Autonomic University of Barcelona. Currently I am performing my Master thesis at Chalmers University of Technology. The project is focused in Mono-functionalized Gold-Nanoparticles as building blocks for nano-catalysis and future sensor technologies.
Research Interests: Controllable synthesis of mono-functionalized gold nanoparticles is an area of intense research with many possible applications such as single molecule electronic devices, biosensors and nano catalysis. My interests are focus on interdisciplinary works, for instance, synthesis of new functional linker molecules for medical and biological applications. The aim of my project is develop new synthetic routes for monofunctionalized nanoparticles for advanced sensor and nano-catalytic applications.
